Joining the Professional Rodeo Circuit
The Australian Professional Rodeo Circuit - APRA
Have you given any thought to becoming a full member of the Professional Rodeo Circuit in Tasmania ? All professional Rodeo competittors in Tamsnia must become a member of the APRA to be eligible to compete at Tasmanian Rodeos as well as an APRA affiliated event throughout Australia.
Membership entitles you to 12 months subsciption to the APRA Rodeo Newsheet, entitles you and a companion into any rodeo you are competing at FREE, and voting rights.
Membership year runs from the 1st of June to the 31st of May.
MEMBERSHIP FEE'S
Junior Membership - $82.50
Permit (2nd Division Membership) - $148.50 (New Members add $100 bond)
Open Membership - $209.00 (New members add $100 bond)
Non Competing Membership - $55.00
A $100 bond is applicable to all new members excluding Junior and Non competing memberships. This bond is a once off and is refundable on resignation from the Association
Junior Members must not turn 18 during the points year ie 1st December to 30th November. If a Junior Member would like to join but not receive a "Rodeo News" because another member of the family already receives one, membership is only $49.50.
Permit members can compete in both Open and Second Division Events, unless advertised otherwise.
A competing member would normally start as a Permit Member. Once they have one $3000 accumulative they break open. When they have broken open, members are no longer eligible to compete in second division events (special permission may be granted to continue competing in second division events upon application to the Board of Directors).
DAY MEMBERSHIPS
Day memberships are also availabe to any person wishing to have a go at a professional Rodeo. Day membership is $16.50 plus entry fee's. Only three Day Memberships are permitted within any one season of Rodeos. Day members are not eligible for IRC Points or End of Season Standings
