RODEO PRESENTATION DINNER
A Huge Success – Thanks to Everyone who Attended
What a terrific night we all had at the IRC’s Rodeo Presentation Dinner of Champions on the 11th July. Many, many thanks to all those who came and supported the evening and helped to make it the great success that it was. You people are all the backbone of Rodeo in
It’s the one time of year where all Rodeo people, competitors new and old, supporters, followers, officials, family & committee members get to meet up, get a little dressed up, relax & meet up with everyone without the pressures of competition which is great.
Over 160 people were in attendance with lots of old faces and many, many new ones which was terrific to see. There were photos from the late 1960’s to 2009 played on the big screen throughout the entire evening as well as rodeo videos and one in particular which caught the eye of many of our ‘Old Time Cowboy’s’, a DVD of Ross Rodeo 1964. Thanks very much to Daniel Johnson for supplying this DVD which was greatly received by everyone. Huge, blown up Photos of our Tasmanian Champions adorned the walls and all Championship Presentations were presented on the Big Screen.
Thanks to all those who helped present Awards on the night to our New Tasmanian Champions & thanks also to Rachel Treloar and Keith & Barb French who provided the action Rodeo photos.
Once again, the meal was absolutely wonderful with plenty to go around & much more. Thanks so much to Leslie Ann and her team from the ‘Coast To Coast Golden Spit Roast’ for catering once again & looking after our every need.
Special thanks must also go to the following people for all their help. To Sandy Berry,
Here’s looking forward to an even bigger and better presentation Dinner in 2010 and hoping to see you all there again.

IRC ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Island Rodeo Circuits Annual General Meeting was held the same day as our Dinner, 11th July to help us cut costs in hire fees and to hopefully make it easier for those who had to travel.
Unfortunately, numbers were once again a little low which is disappointing as everyones input is always appreciated.
There were many rule changes which were voted upon at our meeting and to which will be updated in our IRC’s rule book which will be available at the beginning of the season to all current members. I won’t go into detail and list them all here as there are quite a few of them. I would just like to remind everyone that rules are voted upon at our meetings by all members who are in attendance and are not decided upon by the IRC committee themselves. It can not be stressed enough how important it is for all members to attend and have their vote to the way you would like your Circuit ran.
Thank you very much to all those members who did attend, it was wonderfully appreciated.
Get Well Soon Skiddy
Our poor old mate Simon ‘Skiddy’ Skidmore was admitted to hospital the Wednesday after our Rodeo Dinner and is currently still in there. After a couple of weeks, they have finally diagnosed him with Pneumonia in his lungs. He has been in and out of isolation for quite some time although was allowed a day release for a few hours on Sunday. Here’s hoping you get better real soon Skiddy. If anyone would like to visit him he is in the Burnie NW Regional Hospital.
Congratulations to
